Adult Cosplay Fundamentals

This beginner-friendly series by Kage Kickback introduces aspiring cosplayers to foundational costume customization techniques. Learn costume creation, character design, and hands-on crafting skills. By the end of the course, you’ll feel empowered to elevate a costume you already own with new techniques.

Henna Workshop

Get beautiful henna designs applied by artists Priya and Ruchika in this intimate workshop with limited spots.

Sewcial meetup

Love to sew, knit, crochet, craft, mend or quilt? Bring your project and join fellow makers to share ideas and techniques in a supportive community setting.

Sketchbook Expressions

Through guided exercises, prompts, and free exploration time, you’ll build dynamic sketchbook pages and let ideas evolve organically. Sketchbook and materials included (bring additional materials to share if you’d like).

Discover flamenco in this dynamic and engaging dance class where you’ll learn the essential techniques of this passionate and vibrant dance form. Focus on fundamental exercises to help you master footwork, body posture, and hand and arm movements. No prior experience needed.

Discover the art of salsa every Wednesday in this fun and welcoming class. Learn essential technique, partner work, basic shines (solo footwork), and the musical foundations that shape the many styles of salsa.

Writer’s Circle

This workshop welcomes writers of all experience levels. Emphasis is placed on enjoying writing while encouraging voice and identity in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Participants write responses to prompts and share with the group to receive supportive feedback.

Library of Shadows

Step into the shadows… if you dare. The Jersey City Public Library transforms into a world of mystery and intrigue on Halloween night! Enjoy signature cocktails, wine, and beverages while dancing the night away with music, magic, and mystery. Dress in your most hauntingly elegant attire for an evening where history, imagination, and the supernatural intertwine.

LGBTQ+ Movie Night

Celebrate spooky season with the cult classic Little Shop of Horrors. Long embraced as a queer favorite, we’ll watch Seymour, Audrey, and the ever-hungry Audrey II take the stage and dive into the film’s queer themes of desire, identity, and survival, all wrapped in B-movie horror and Broadway glam.

Rocky Horror Picture Show: Midnight screening

Limited to 65 attendees with prop bags provided for everyone – think noisemakers, rubber gloves, newspapers for the “rain” from water guns. After registering, come to Five Corners to receive your goodie bag and sign physical activity waivers (dance scenes included). 

Pumpkin Painting

A fun, festive evening of painting! Includes one medium pumpkin with paints, brushes, and aprons provided. Sip on pumpkin-spiced refreshments while enjoying holiday music.
