SUMMARY:Shipwreck Disasters (Documentary Viewing)
DESCRIPTION:Join us tonight\, Saturday\, January 4th\, for the screening of “Shipwreck Disasters” by ESKFF artist Joaquin Goldstein. In the clip shown here\, you catch a glimpse of the serendipitous reshaping of his series of work called “Disasters of War\,” a reinterpretation of Francisco de Goya’s work on the ravages of war. See the brief description of the documentary short below. \nThe first screening will be at 8pm and the second screening will be at 9pm. Both screenings will be followed by a Q&A with the artist. Come gather with us to give Joaquin our warmest welcome!! \nShipwreck Disasters:\n“Protests in Lima against the government in 2019 sparked the fire of a historic building in Plaza San Martín. Joaquin Goldstein\, an artist who lived there for several years\, returns to Peru in search of his works stored on the roof of the building that was left in rubble and ashes.”
