THE EVENT PROMOTER’S AND THE HISTORIC JERSEY CITY AND HARSIMUS CEMETERY ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL PROPERTY

The Historic JC & Harsimus Cemetery grounds and walkways are uneven; use caution with walking around the grounds. Our Gravestones are historic and fragile. It is an outdoor environment that contains natural and man-made hazards, including standing water, fallen trees, limbs, and plant materials; steep, slippery, rough and uneven terrain; animal and reptile burrows, insects, and reptiles, poisonous plants; maintenance and heavy equipment; and other apparent and unapparent hazards.Bring a chair and/or a blanket and make a picnic of it

No Pets allowed – We have Goats and Sheep on hand

NO GLASS containers ALLOWED

Children must be supervised by an adult at all times

DO NOT LEAN UP, SIT ON, OR PLAY on or around the Gravestones.

N0 BYOB – PLEASE NO BOTTLES / Bring a chair and/or a blanket and make a picnic of it / Carry in – Throw out. NO PETS ALLOWED

The cemetery goats [and sheep] are back in town to help landscape the grounds of the Historic Cemetery. We’ve had a sharp decrease in the number of human volunteers that help keep the grounds in good order during COVID, we’ve gone from an average of 30-40+ volunteers a week to 5 to 10. Hence the grounds are in need of some extra special attention to prepare for this event as well as future events this summer.
