Four Week Intro to Improv Comedy Workshop for Adults

Jersey Improv Lab is excited to add a beginner-friendly, four-week improv comedy workshop in downtown Hoboken! It is designed for adults who want to meet new people, build confidence, and try something outside their comfort zone in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Whether you’re new to town, craving a creative outlet, or simply looking for something more meaningful than another midweek happy hour, this workshop offers a structured, supportive way to connect and grow.

No homework, no memorizing lines, no pressure.

This isn’t theater school.
It’s improv as a playful, social, presence-building, after-work experience.

By the end of the four weeks, you’ll have a strong foundation in the basics of improv comedy (including scene and character building) and feel more comfortable speaking up, thinking on your feet, and trusting yourself in social and professional situations — all without ever feeling like you’re “performing.”
