Friday, June 28

Art. 3 Acres is hosting an art workshop where you can learn to craft colorful mosaic tiles.

Bike. Hoboken Cycling Club is having a sunset bike meetup.

Cards. Head to Victory Point to play Magic the Gathering! Build a deck and compete for prizes.

Comedy. Grab tickets to The Laugh Tour Show with comedy performances on Friday and Saturday nights.

Community. The Jersey City Arts Council is hosting their annual meeting at And Co. Meet and greet the 2024 grantees and board members and celebrate the past year's achievements. Light bites and refreshing beverages will be served.

Dance. Alter Ego Pole is hosting a pole dance performance with live music and refreshments!

Drag Show. Tipsy Tie Dye is hosting a drag show at its store this Friday. The event is BYOB, and your ticket includes your choice of tie-dye merchandise for the classes.

Drum. Issyra Gallery has a drumming workshop and live West African music this Friday.

Game Night. Bring your games and head to Panera Bread in Hoboken to play with other board game enthusiasts!

LGBTQ. Join Jersey City Connects at bwe kafe in Newport for a scenic 3-mile walk along the water! Bring your water bottle, make new connections, and soak up the sun on our leisurely morning walk.

Movie. Exchange Place Alliance invites you to a free film - this week is Marvels!

Music. The Goatchella Music Festival is a two-day event benefiting The Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery. The event starts at 5 p.m. on Friday!

Music. Head to Fox and Crow in The Heights to listen to Alex Mazz.

Music. Sebastian Ortiz will play disco, new wave, and dance tunes at Porta.

Music. Enjoy some live acoustic music at Box Cafe.

Open Mic. Word Bookstores is hosting an open mic night at 6 p.m. Join them for an evening of performances, music, poetry, and networking!

Saturday, June 29

Book Lovers. Join Jersey City Reads in Hamilton Park for a silent reading session. They meet at 2 p.m.

Comic. The Bethune Center is hosting the first Jersey City Black Comic-Con, and it's free to attend!

Community Event. Rising Tide Capital invites you to celebrate two decades of community impact and entrepreneurship at this community event. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy delicious treats from food trucks and engage in friendly games. This event is free and open to the public.

Dance. Head to Grundy Park, near Exchange Place, for free beginner salsa classes.

Documentary. Sip Studios is premiering a documentary about Kase's music and entrepreneurial career origins. Kase will be performing with a live band!

Festival. JC Families is hosting their Summer Fest, a fun-filled day for the whole family featuring entertainment, activities, and vendors from local women-owned businesses. The event is in Hoboken from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Local Market. Explore the Handmade Market, an open-air bazaar featuring local artists and makers selling fine art and premium hand-crafted goods. The market is open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Local Market. Hoboken Museum is hosting its Shipyard Shops from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Music. Enjoy live music at Belle Ame Cafe from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Music. Head to Fox and Crow in The Heights to listen to Justin Garcia and Friends. Their music combines jazz, country, free improvisation, Latin, and soul.

Music. Jam out to The Frights, a surf punk band, at White Eagle Hall.

Run. Join Jersey City Runners for a morning run at Grove Street. Runners of all levels are welcome to join!

Tai Chi. Head to Lincoln Park for this Tai Chi meditation class. In this hour-long, donation-based session, you will focus on relaxation, breath, balance, and strength.

Tennis Meetup. Test your tennis skills and connect with others in Washington Park at this meetup!

Theater. Jersey City Theater Center showcases staged readings of brand-new short works created by the STS emerging playwrights and dramaturgs. You will be the very first audience to witness them! This event is free to attend.

Volunteer. Head to Harimus Cemetery for their Saturday volunteer clean-ups, which start at 9 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. Sadly neglected and abandoned in early 2008, the Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery is now being saved and preserved by a group of volunteers. Please message the account before attending to confirm details!

Volunteer. Volunteer at Riverview-Fisk Park from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Opportunities include picking up trash, pulling out weeds, planting seeds—different activities to help keep the park beautiful!

Sunday, June 30

Bike. Bike Hoboken is hosting a June Community Ride (Pride Edition), starting at Hoboken Historical Museum and covering 4 miles. Upon our return, enjoy a reiki healing circle, bouncy house, music, food, and arts and crafts; rides are family-friendly with a police escort, and children should be able to ride independently or in a child seat on an adult's bike.

Dog. The Ale House in Hoboken is hosting a summer dog party with dog themed drink specials, adoptable dogs from AHS Newark and other giveaways!

Farmer's Market. The Riverview Farmer's Market is open every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverview Park.

Kayak Adventure. Make new friends and explore the beauty of Sawmill Creek Marsh, Anderson Creek Marsh, and other great wildlife areas. Register with Hackensack Riverkeeper and enjoy stunning views of the urban wilderness from the water!

Meditation. Barrow Mansion is hosting a meditation class. This week, the topic is "Our Boundless Potential for Happiness."

Movie Night. Monty Hall is showcasing the movie, "Flipside." FLIPSIDE documents Chris Wilcha's tragicomic attempt to revive the store while revisiting other documentary projects he has abandoned over the years.

Music. The New Jersey Symphony is hosting an outdoor concert at Liberty State Park. This free program features timeless classics, Broadway themes, and patriotic favorites.
